3 Ways to keep your Mobile Home Clutter Free

Mobile homes don’t necessarily offer as much space as you might be used to having. If you’ve recently moved into a mobile home, you may be dealing with a clutter problem. Clutter can accumulate easily in a mobile home because of its space limitations. Fortunately, there are ways to combat disorganization and clutter in a smaller living space. Here are three things you can do to prevent all your things from taking over your mobile home:

1. Go through everything you own every two months or so.

Only so much stuff can fit into your mobile home. So, it’s essential that you frequently assess what you can clear out. If you know you aren’t going to use something in the next year, it’s time to get rid of it. Donate it or sell it. There’s no need for it to take up precious space.

2. Put up some shelves.

If your mobile home didn’t come with any shelves on the walls or in the closets, consider putting some up. This will give you some extra spots to store things like books, decorative items, blankets, pictures, etc. Racks and shelves can also work wonders in the kitchen.

3. Simplify.

Maybe you could consider getting rid of your TV or buying a smaller bed. Consider what you truly need, and consider the benefits of simplifying your life. Remember that the stuff you own won’t necessarily make you happy. However, having enough room for your friends and family to stay over in your mobile home will.

Living in a mobile home does require you to put forth some extra effort to keep things clutter-free. There aren’t as many nooks, crannies, and closets to shove excess items in. Fortunately, after you’ve lived in a mobile home for a while, you’ll probably fully embrace a totally clutter-free, simpler life, and you’ll likely feel lighter as a result.
